Alchemist
Overview / Role
The Alchemist is the second Merchant evolution, focused on potion creation, plant summoning, and a unique Homunculus pet that grows alongside the player.
Requirements
- Base Level: None
- Job Level: 40 (minimum) as Merchant
- Prerequisite: Merchant; complete the Alchemist job change quest at Al De Baran's Union of Alchemists.
Advancement Path
At Base Level 99 / Job Level 50, advances via Rebirth to Biochemist (Creator).
Job Level Cap: 50
Key Skills
- Acid Terror: Single-target Acid attack with armor break chance.
- Demonstration: Place a fire bomb that damages enemies and weapons.
- Summon Flora: Summon plant minions for distraction.
- Call Homunculus: Summon and control a Homunculus pet.
- Potion Creation / Pharmacy: Brew healing and battle items.
Recommended Playstyle
Acid Demonstration build (post-Transcend) is endgame; pre-Trans Alchemists rely on Homunculus farming and Demonstration combat. Always learn Pharmacy for self-sufficiency. Choose your Homunculus carefully (Filir, Lif, Amistr, Vanilmirth).
