Levels
Ragnarok Online uses two parallel level systems: Base Level raises your stats and HP/SP, while Job Level unlocks skills. They progress independently and require different EXP types.
Two EXP Bars, Two Progressions
Every monster awards both Base EXP and Job EXP — but in different amounts. Some monsters favor Base, others favor Job.

Quick Tips
Level Smart
- Max Job before class change — capture every available skill point before advancing.
- Job 50 unlocks bonuses — quest exemptions and special rewards await.
- Plan for Transcendence — at Base 99 / Job 50, Rebirth massively boosts long-term power.
- Watch the EXP ratio — some monsters give better Base EXP, others better Job EXP. Switch maps to balance both bars.
- Plan your stat build — your level 99 build should be mapped out before you reach the 90s.
