Substats (Derived Stats)

Substats are calculated from your base stats, equipment, and class. They appear in the status window.

ATK (Attack)

Displayed as A + B:

  • A = Weapon DMG + STR/DEX/LUK bonuses
  • B = Damage from weapon refinement

Weapon refinement bonus applies even if main damage is negated.

MATK (Magic Attack)

  • Maximum MATK = INT + [INT/5]²
  • Minimum MATK = INT + [INT/7]²

DEF (Defense)

Displayed as A + B:

  • A = Item-based DEF (reduces damage by %)
  • B = VIT-based DEF (flat reduction)

Note: Each + on upgraded equipment shows as 1 DEF but calculates as 0.7 DEF.

MDEF (Magic Defense)

Functions identically to DEF. Each hard MDEF provides:

  • 1% resistance to Frozen
  • 1% resistance to Stone Curse

HIT (Hit Rate)

Formula: DEX + bonuses + Base Level

CRIT (Critical Hit Rate)

Formula: LUK × 0.3 + bonuses

Critical mechanics:

  • Ignores enemy DEF (both % and flat)
  • Ignores FLEE but NOT Perfect Dodge
  • Doubled with Katar weapons
  • Offensive skills don't use CRIT (except Focused Arrow Strike)

Crit Shield: Enemy's every 5 LUK reduces your crit by 1%

  • Example: Angeling (100 LUK) reduces your crit by 20%

FLEE (Flee Rate)

Displayed as A + B:

  • A = AGI + bonuses + Base Level
  • B = Lucky dodge (dodges even critical attacks)

Limit: Maximum 95% dodge rate vs monsters (100% possible in WoE)

ASPD (Attack Speed)

Depends on: Class, weapon type, speed modifiers, AGI, DEX

Maximum: 190 ASPD = 5 hits per second
