Help reunite a father with his long-lost daughter.

Starting NPC​

  • NPC: Kain Himere
  • Location: Airship lower deck (airplane 50, 61), near gambling tables

Walkthrough​

  1. Talk to Kain Himere three times until he cries. Select "What's wrong?" then "I have time for a long story." He'll describe his lost daughter and provide a package for Defra at Einbroch Hotel.

  2. Visit Einbroch Hotel (einbroch 252, 200). The front desk directs you to Room 201. Upstairs, find Elle near a portal who sings. Ask "what are you singing?" She mentions her mother Tarsha Cherno lives in a house behind the hotel.

  3. Enter Defra's room through the portal. A dialogue confirms he's absent, suggesting you help the girl instead.

  4. Go northeast to the house (einbroch 276, 233) behind the hotel. Talk to Tarsha Cherno and her husband. Examine the "Unidentified Machine" and "Mirror" in the house. Looking at the mirror reveals Tarsha's scar. Discuss her father's disappearance.

  5. Return to Kain on the airship. He takes back the package and, when you "mention Miner's Song," requests a Journal proving he's Tarsha's father.

  6. Travel to Einbech town near the south portal. West of the portal (einbech 47, 107), click trees marked with "..." until you excavate the journal. Read it completely, then return to Tarsha.

  7. Ask Tarsha to "check her hands." She'll offer free item repair service and send you to Elle, who provides a Doodled Note for Kain.

  8. Return to Kain for your reward.
