Friendship Quest

A touching story of reconciliation between two estranged friends, revealing the dark secrets of Lighthalzen's slums.

Starting NPC​

  • NPC: Maku
  • Location: Lighthalzen Slums (lighthalzen 337, 232)
  • Note: To access the slums, talk to the guard at (lighthalzen 267, 200) repeatedly

Walkthrough​

  1. Find Maku in the slums of Lighthalzen. To get to the slums, you need to talk to the guard at (lighthalzen 267, 200) repeatedly until he lets you through.

  2. Visit the Hotel in Lighthalzen (158, 131). Proceed upstairs to the first room on the left where Digotz resides at (lhz_in02 201, 210).

  3. Return to Maku to learn about their shared history with Digotz.

  4. Visit Digotz again. Take down the words that Digotz wants you to relay to Maku. Important: The phrases are case sensitive, word for word, and punctuation matters! Memorize them exactly.

  5. Return to Maku and relay the messages line by line. You will lose 50% HP during this exchange and learn about Benkaistein.

  6. Report back to Digotz with Maku's message.

  7. Travel to Juno Library (yuno 340, 203). Find the Student NPC at (yuno_in04 107, 14) and ask about Benkaistein.

  8. Locate Benkaistein (labeled "Passionate Student") at (yuno_in04 96, 106). He requests assistance finding a book.

  9. Retrieve the Friend's Diary from (yuno_in04 167, 115) on a table.

  10. Show the diary to Benkaistein.

  11. Return to Lighthalzen's Hotel and show the diary to Digotz.

  12. Show the diary to Maku and receive experience.

  13. Visit Digotz one final time. After his death, obtain a Knife.

  14. Return to Benkaistein in Juno for final rewards.
