Walkthrough​

Part 1: Morroc - Meeting Tyus

  1. Visit the Inn in Morroc (south Kafra area, morocc 199, 64). Enter the right portal.

  2. Speak with Tyus about the Eye of Hellion and his sealing device.

Part 2: Prontera - First Tablet

  1. Travel to Prontera and find Clanux Heffron behind the church at (prontera 269, 326). Learn about the collected items: a broken sword and wheel.

  2. Locate a Training Puppet near the old Swordman's Association (prontera 224, 80) with writings: "Veggie Lady N9 W3 BINGO!"

  3. Return to Clanux for a Cogwheel found in the Item Shop.

  4. Visit the Vegetable Gardener (prontera 49, 57). Walk 9 steps north, 3 steps west to coordinates (46, 66) and enter "BINGO" when prompted. Receive the number: 3847147298 (or 16754213).

  5. Find the Unknown Machine in the Item Shop. Place the Cogwheel and enter the number. Obtain the Prontera Tablet (first Piece of Slate).

  6. Return to Tyus who reveals the forest location refers to Payon.

Part 3: Payon - Second Tablet

  1. Meet Grout'he Tuccok in Payon (payon 182, 132). Pay 10,000 Zeny for clues about items: Stone Heart, Green Herb, Grape Juice, Skirt of Virgin.

  2. Collect items at the following marked locations:

    • Skirt of Virgin: Resting Place (102, 192) - click wooden floor in gazebo
    • Stone Heart: Stone Pile (80, 110)
    • Green Herb: Dried Fish (238, 54)
    • Grape Juice: Vat across wall (233, 159)

  3. Link the locations on the minimap to find the center point. Visit the wooden porch floor (159, 129) for Tyus's hidden message.

  4. Proceed to Archer Village statue. Approach the Buddha Statue (pay_arche 135, 31).

  5. When asked, select: "I won't kill, but I'll find a way to live!" Obtain the Payon Tablet (second Piece of Slate).

Part 4: Geffen - Third and Fourth Tablets

  1. Report to Tyus who gives the Morroc Tablet (third Piece of Slate) and directs you to Sage Welshyun in Geffen.

  2. Meet Sage Welshyun (geffen 110, 200). He requests the "Monster Life in the Geffen Area" report from his apprentice Enoz at Geffen Tower's top.

  3. Climb to the tower top and speak with Enoz (gef_tower 116, 37). He indicates Welshyun already has the report.

  4. Return to Welshyun with the report. He sends you back to Enoz and requests a Blue Gemstone.

  5. Return to Welshyun with the Blue Gemstone.

  6. When asked: "Where is the abode with a shining silver roof mentioned in the third part of the Ballad of Grimnir?" Answer: "Valaskjalf"

  7. Receive the Geffen Tablet (fourth Piece of Slate).

Part 5: Final Steps

  1. Return to Tyus with all four tablets.

  2. Welshyun combines the tablets and Blue Gemstone into a Complete Tablet. You're transported to the Sealed Cave (gef_fild09).

  3. Enter the cave. Your Slate glows at the entrance. Place it in the slot to trigger Tyus's message.

  4. Locate and defeat Hellion Revenant in Geffen Dungeon Level 2 (gef_dun03). He drops the Eye of Hellion.

  5. Return to Tyus and report your findings.

Notes​

  • Teleport and Fly Wings are disabled inside the cave
  • Selecting the wrong answer at the Buddha Statue results in death (no EXP loss)
  • The quest can be completed without fighting Hellion Revenant by returning to Tyus after obtaining all tablets
  • If the Eye is already obtained before encountering Hellion Revenant, defeating him still counts as completion
